A pronounced knot with a narrower neck
DireWolf is defined by contrast: a narrower shaft and neck alongside a noticeably wider knot. It is the canine-inspired model to consider when that change in shape is the feature you are looking for.
The neck deserves as much attention as the widest point. Its slim profile makes this part of the toy more flexible, so two models made from the same silicone can handle differently. With DireWolf, firmness is particularly worth considering in the smaller sizes.
DireWolf, Foxy or EpiKnot?
Foxy has a gentler knot, a smaller difference between the shaft and knot diameters, and a less narrow neck. It is the model to compare if you prefer a less pronounced change in width.
EpiKnot takes a different approach: its equine-and-canine-inspired design combines a broader tip with two successive knots, one smaller and one larger. Choose between them for their different shapes, rather than treating them as steps in a fixed progression.
Which firmness would we choose?
Extra Soft · Shore 00-30: Choose this for maximum pliability, with the understanding that DireWolf’s narrow neck can become very flexible. We would be particularly cautious about recommending it in smaller sizes if you want the toy to hold its shape well.
Soft · Shore 00-50: A middle option when you want a soft toy with more support than Extra Soft. The neck will still flex; changing the silicone does not remove the effect of its shape.
Medium · Shore A-10: Worth considering when keeping the shape supported matters more to you than maximum softness, particularly in smaller models.
