How to choose the right stretching plug
Stretching plugs work by maintaining outward pressure at the neck – the narrower section that sits at the opening once the plug is fully inserted. The wider the neck relative to the body of the plug, the more intense the constant stretch. This is what the number in the name tells you: Plug 1 has a 1 cm difference between neck and maximum diameter, Plug 2 has a 2 cm difference, and so on. Smaller number = thicker neck = more intense passive stretch.
Plug 1 & Plug 2 – for active play and stationary passive stretching
Plug 1 Round and Plug 1 Oval are the most intense plugs in our range. The thick neck maintains constant, significant pressure throughout wear – there is no relief once the plug is inside. Best for active play (thrusting, sitting down onto the plug) and focused passive stretching in a stationary position. Not suitable for walking or daily activity wear.
Plug 2 Round and Plug 2 Oval offer more contrast between the body and neck, better retention and a more manageable constant pressure. A good middle ground between intensity and practicality.
Round cross-section = uniform pressure, maximum stretch for a given diameter. Oval cross-section = anatomical fit, more comfortable for longer sessions, available in larger diameters.
T-Plug 4 & T-Plug 3 – for all-day wear and passive stretching during daily life
T-Plugs are designed to be worn during everyday activities – at home, at work, during light exercise or while sleeping. The T-shaped base sits flat and discreetly against the body and keeps the plug securely in place during movement. This makes T-Plugs the most effective tool for long-term passive stretching training.
T-Plug 4 Oval and T-Plug 4 Round are the recommended starting point for most users. The 4 cm neck difference means a narrow neck, easy retention and gentle constant pressure. Once T-Plug 4 feels comfortable throughout the day, the natural next step is T-Plug 3 Oval or T-Plug 3 Round, which have a 3 cm neck difference – a wider neck and stronger passive stretch, still suitable for all-day and overnight wear.
Bloop – compact plug without a tip
Bloop Oval and Bloop Round replace the tapered tip with a flat circular face. Insertion is immediate and full from the first moment – no gradual build-up. A compact format that reaches large diameters (up to 20 cm) in a short usable length of 12 cm. Not designed for daily wear.
How plugs fit into a stretching training routine
Most experienced users combine different plug types for different purposes. A typical approach: wear a T-Plug throughout the day for passive diameter training, then use a Plug 1 or Plug 2 for focused active sessions. The two approaches complement each other and progress faster together than either would alone. Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Plug 1 and Plug 2?
The number refers to the difference in centimetres between the neck diameter and the maximum diameter. Plug 1 has a 1 cm difference – a thick neck, intense constant pressure, no relief when inserted. Plug 2 has a 2 cm difference – a thinner neck, more contrast on insertion, better retention. Plug 1 is more intense; Plug 2 stays in place more easily and is more practical for longer sessions.
Can I wear a stretching plug all day?
Plug 1 and Plug 2 are not designed for all-day wear – the neck is not narrow enough for reliable retention during movement. T-Plugs (T-Plug 4 and T-Plug 3) are specifically designed for all-day wear and sleep. The T-shaped base and narrower neck keep them securely in place during everyday activities.
Should I choose Round or Oval?
Round delivers uniform pressure in all directions – maximum stretch for a given diameter, more intense. Oval has a flatter cross-section that adapts to anatomy, reducing total circumference by roughly 10% and making it more comfortable for longer sessions. Oval is also available in larger diameters. If you're unsure, Oval is usually the more comfortable starting point.
What firmness should I choose for a stretching plug?
For daily wear T-Plugs, Extra Soft (Shore 00-30) or Soft (Shore 00-50) are recommended – softer silicone adapts to your body over long periods and is far more comfortable. For active play with Plug 1 or Plug 2, Soft or Medium depending on preference. Medium firmness delivers a more defined, rigid stretch but requires more warm-up. See our Firmness, Color & Pattern Guide for full details.
How do I know when to progress to a larger size?
When your current size feels easy and comfortable – insertion requires little effort, the stretch is manageable throughout wear and you no longer feel challenged. Progress by 0.5–1 cm at a time. Never force a size that causes pain. For a full guide to safe progression, read our Beginner's Guide to Stretching.
